Year 12 students from SNHS had an interesting day participating at the IOM Model UN Council on Friday 6th December. Our students represented Germany, Indonesia and South Africa and spent the day working hard to secure a resolution, proposed by Germany to the ongoing conflict in Syria. After a tough day of negotiations some amendments were made to the proposal, and most countries were on board in their recognition of the need to end this humanitarian crises.
Well done to the students for working hard to prepare their speeches, doing their research and negotiating hard for a consensus.
