On 7th January, the MFL Department were delighted to welcome Lily Kneale, a former pupil of Ramsey Grammar School, and a current languages student at Edinburgh Napier University.
Lily manages a project at university called World Wide Napier. This is a languages magazine (French, Spanish and German) in which the students at university write an article around a theme in the language they are learning. As it has been a huge success, Lily wanted to bring it back to where she started learning languages, on the Isle of Man.
Thanks to her input our Sixth Form languages students will be writing and submitting an article as a team in their learned language (French or Spanish) around the theme (which is "changing places”).
We are thrilled that this will foster a relationship with Edinburgh Napier University, and will provide an example of what studying languages at university can lead you to be a part of.
