As part of Year 11's introduction to the Sixth Form programme, the Sixth Form Debate Committee hosted a debate for Year 11 students to experience one of the additional actives that many enjoy as part of Sixth Form life.
The motion was “This house holds that cannabis should be legalised”
After listening to the opening speeches, Year 11 students made interesting and insightful comments, and challenged the speakers on both sides. After the concluding comments the vote was held and the motion was carried.
Well done to the Debate Committee for hosting and allowing Year 11s to get a taste of Sixth Form life, and thank you to the Year 11 students who participated in such a mature fashion.
