We were pleased to welcome Hannah Grove from Love Life to lead upper school assemblies this week on all things to do with periods. The talk aimed to reduce the stigma surrounding periods and educate students about the choices of different period products. Hannah then went on to explore the environmental factors associated with using disposable products and gave examples of the variety of alternative products now available. According to recent studies, 48% of UK girls will miss school each year because they are embarrassed, or do not have products available while they are on their period.

We are keen to support our students in any way we can, and therefore wish to remind them that the 'Red Box' is available in school on both sites, to access any sanitary products free of charge when needed.
