Last week we were pleased to welcome Roberta and Naomi from IOM Newspapers who launched the 'Become an editor for the day' competition to our A Level students. The competition, sponsored by Panacea, requires students to select one of four topics to write about in no more than 600 words.
Prizes:
Working alongside editor, Richard Butt, the winning student will see 'behind the scenes' of a busy newsroom which publishes three newspapers per week. The winning student will also be given the opportunity to assist in planning the content for the papers, debate key topics with the team and assist in writing for one of the newspaper titles.
PANACEA'S STAR STUDENT:
Panacea will choose a student who will be offered the opportunity of a paid placement in their Douglas-based office from July - September 2022.
A winning student from each school will be selected to receive a £100 cash prize.
Entries must be submitted by 23:59 on Tuesday 30th November to marketing@iomtoday.co.im.
Details of the topics have been shared on the Google Classroom.
A huge thank you to Panacea for their generous sponsorship of this competition.
