Last Friday our Year 12 had an Enrichment Day focussing on issues of Health and Wellbeing. We were delighted to welcome a number of outside speakers to whom we are indebted for sharing their expertise and insight with our students. We would like to thank the following people: Josh and Laura from MSR for their focus on physical health, allowing the students to sample yoga and boxercise; Hannah Groves from Love Life who led a very informative session focussing on body respect and confidence; Rhiannon, Caitlin and Jo from Motiv8 who explored issues surrounding gambling and addiction; Sam Lund who delivered sessions covering relationships and rights in relationships, Sam was joined by Dr Jenny Waters a Sexual Health clinician who has recently taken on a lead role at the sexual assault referral services; Isle Listen who provided pupils with strategies and ideas on building self-resilience.

All of the workshops were delivered in response to student requests. We continually revisit our enrichment programme and were delighted with the many positive outcomes of the day.

A huge thank you to all the visitors and to Miss Sharpe for co-ordinating the event.
