This week our senior girls played their first ever 11 a side school football fixture! Football has proved very popular with 20 girls showing great interest in being part of the squad. Our first game was against Ramsey Grammar which ended 1-1. This was a fair result with Saints having the better first half and Ramsey finishing the game strongly. Captain Kiera Griffiths scored the goal! Next up was Ballakermeen; this was a tough game with Saints showing great resilience to keep the many Ballakermeen chances out. Annaleigh Kelch made an amazing save in the last minute to earn us a point. It is great to have so many girls participating and would be even better to see these girls joining local clubs now to strengthen the league!
