Last week we were delighted to host the St.Ninian's One World Centre Charity Challenge Final. It was an interesting evening, reflecting months of research, advocacy and fundraising from each from the groups. The teams, representing Street Child, The Zimbabwe Education Trust, Tree Aid, The Flying Seagull and Self-Help Africa, gave informative presentations and we are pleased to announce that the group representing Self-Help Africa were awarded first place and will now represent St. Ninian's at the island final on 26th March at Mountain View Innovation Centre in Ramsey. The other charities will each receive £100.
Thank you to the judges, Miss Strickett, Mr Schofield and Mr Coole, who had to reach a very difficult decision. Thanks also to Wendy Shimmin, from the One World Centre, and to Mrs Donaldson for co-ordinating the Charity Challenge teams.
