Huge congratulations to Sapphire Ashcroft on her cycling success last weekend. She competed in the third round of the British National Enduro Series, a two day event which was the toughest round yet this year. Changeable weather conditions on the Saturday combined with the technical stages made the sections challenging. Going into day 2 with a 1 minute 16s lead, she pushed further to extend this. Day two was drier, the tracks just as technical and steep. Sapphire finished 2 mins 6 secs clear of second place, having covered 48 miles off-road and over 8000ft elevation.

This meant that Sapphire finished the women’s u21 with a win and also taking the win for overall woman for the event.

Going into the BNES series Sapphire is lying second, having missed the last round due to A Level exam commitments.

Next round is in Minehead in August.

Well done Sapphire!
