The Year 13 Geography students have been studying Douglas Beach since June to identify processes which occur on the beach and devising sustainable management solutions. Many of these tackled issues such as sea level rise, coastal erosion as well as the build up of seaweed. The Year 13s have been working in groups and all put on excellent presentations in the lecture theatre today. SNHS were also really appreciative that Suzanne Parkinson, who is Head of Parks at Douglas City Council, along with local historian, Charles Guard, added their valuable expertise. Thanks also to our Deputy Head, Mr Smith for his attendance and to see first hand the excellent quality of presentations.
The Geography Department are all super proud of you!
Mr Macgregor
