The Year 8 Rugby teams travelled to Ramsey for a great afternoon of fixtures. The A team won 5-3 and what a game of Rugby it was! Such a high level from both teams was pleasing to see, opposing teachers and parents made a point in congratulating us on how we played. In the first 10 mins we were dominant, winning every ruck, moving the ball through hands with real fluidity, Ramsey didn't know how to handle us, however Ramsey finished the half stronger as unforced errors began creeping into our game. In the second half, Ramsey started the stronger side and we looked exhausted, but in the final 10 minutes we clicked again and scored a couple of tries in quick succession.
The weather might not have been sunny up in Ramsey, but the B team definitely brought the brightness with their performance. Trailing all the way through the first half, which ended 3-2, the SNHS boys came out firing in the second half, with amazing performances across the board to turn the game on its head and seal a 6-3 win. Player of the match Joe Foster didn’t put a foot wrong all game. He tackled everything that came near him, made some brilliant runs, and offered constant support play. He capped it off with a try and a superb assist and was unlucky not to score a hat-trick!
