The Year 8 boys had a tough afternoon of Rugby with the A team losing 6-1, but we can't argue with the effort that they all put in! From minute 1 until the final whistle they gave it their all, putting in big tackles over and over again, making CRHS work hard for their tries, however we were second best at the breakdowns and that ultimately has cost us the game. When we were in possession we had some really good moments, but were not rewarded as we were slow to support each other. Castle Rushen were the better side on the day, but hopefully we will make amends if we reach the final. Liam Lonergan was awarded player of the match, well done to all boys involved.

The B team efforts could not have been faulted, the boys grew into the game as it went on but due to a sluggish start and not getting into the rucks quick enough, a lack of aggression and not supporting our runners, we fell behind by 7 tries to 0. The second half was much better and we only conceded 2 tries, with everybody getting stuck in making some great tackles and getting into rucks much quicker. Some notable performances were from Louis Stephens, Rhys Barr & Alfie Hamilton with some great tackling, player of the match went to Callan Quirk who made countless big tackles, carried the ball forward well and led by example.
