Both the A and B teams from St Ninian’s put on outstanding performances in their matches against Ballakermeen, showing skill, teamwork, and determination throughout. Here's how they got on:
A Team: St Ninian’s 8 – 0 Ballakermeen. What a performance from the A team, who cruised to an 8-0 victory! The girls played some brilliant hockey, working together to move the ball up the pitch, getting into great spaces, and making important tackles all over the field. Carla was unstoppable in front of goal, scoring an amazing 5 goals. Amelia added 2 goals and was a real inspiration on the pitch – her movement and positive attitude helped drive the whole team forward. Amber also scored a great goal to finish off a fantastic attacking display. In defence, Hailey was rock-solid, making key tackles and keeping the back line strong throughout the game. Player of the Match: Carla with a brilliant performance and a big part of the team’s success! This win means the A team is now through to the Island Schools' Final against Castle Rushen High School on Monday 10th November, 2pm at the NSC – well done and good luck!
B Team: St Ninian’s 7 – 0 Ballakermeen. The B team also showed their class with a superb 7-0 win! The girls worked incredibly well as a team, showing great energy, teamwork, and some excellent control of the game. Florence had a day to remember, scoring an amazing 6 goals, with Harper adding the 7th. The team made some fantastic tackles and passed the ball with confidence and skill. Darcie stepped in as goalkeeper at the last minute and made some brilliant saves to keep a clean sheet. Maddie made lovely tackles, helping to stop any Ballakermeen attacks. A special mention to Autumn, the assistant manager, who did a brilliant job making sure everyone got their time on the pitch and kept things running smoothly on the sidelines. A huge well done to every player – you should all be really proud of yourselves and each other!
