Before half term the Year 9 girls competed in the Douglas derby vs BHS. This was certainly a game of two halves!! Saints struggled to cope with the constant attacking play from BHS, Elsie Chinn made 2 fantastic saves early on to keep the score at 0-0. Constant pressure from BHS soon resulted in 2 quick goals, we then conceded again just before the break. We changed a few players to different positions and kept a positive mindset that we could get back into the game. Erin Morgan scored, followed by Fiyuri Jordan to boost our hopes of getting something from the game. Lilah Cretney worked tirelessly on the right as did Emily Cregeen who did a fantastic job man marking BHS' most dominant player. The equalizer came from Dulcie Hunter who ran in from the left to score and start wild celebrations from the saints! However, with only a couple of minutes remaining, we failed to clear the ball and BHS tapped in to win the game 4-3. Very proud of everyone’s effort, attitude and determination.
