What an occasion for the lads to play in a National Schools Rugby Final! SNHS didn't start the game well, not looking after the ball and being a little shy when it came to making a tackle, we found ourselves 2 tries down within the first 5 minutes. The boys were encouraged on by parents, and they responded with a fantastic 15 minute spell whereby we began to win the ball in rucks and scrums and then used the ball well to make ground. Noah Nicholson (1) and Thomas G-T (2) scoring our tries, putting us up by 1 try at the break. We started the 2nd half as we ended the first, competing for every ball and matching CRHS. Castle Rushen then grew stronger and made a few really good plays to break through our defensive line on a few occasions. As we chased the game, some poor decisions crept in and CRHS took advantage of this, with the game ending 35-20. At the presentation the IOMSSA Rugby Secretary echoed how well both teams played and it was arguably the best Year 8 Rugby final for some time, which all the lads should be proud to have been a part of.
