The Intermediate Basketball team continued their excellent run of form with a 38–23 victory over a strong CRHS side. The game was tightly contested throughout the first two quarters, with both teams trading baskets and neither able to pull away. Saints edged the half 16–14 thanks to a composed late finish from Rhys Jones, giving the boys a narrow but valuable lead at the break.
Across the court, Illiam and Sam worked tirelessly to create space and move the ball effectively, helping to generate numerous attacking opportunities. Ade and Joel were outstanding under both boards, showing relentless energy and physicality to dominate rebounds and keep Saints in control of key moments.
As the game moved into the final quarter, Saints began to pull away. Daniel Hindle lit up the court with a superb swish inside the key, a moment that lifted the entire team after Castle Rushen had started to close the gap. Shortly after, Josh Hamilton produced two brilliant baskets that showcased his class, sealing the game.
Player of the Match goes to Sai, whose presence on the court was exceptional. He dictated the flow of play with maturity and confidence, contributing important baskets while keeping the team calm and organised throughout.
A great win and a fantastic all-round performance from the entire Intermediate team!
