The Year 7 Hockey girls enjoyed a fantastic, albeit very cold, afternoon of Hockey at QEII, competing in the end of season tournament against all of the other Island schools. It had been a couple weeks since we had last played and it showed, the girls took their time to settle and we lost to a strong CRHS side 3-0. Abi Sayle played out of her skin in the first two games making some outstanding saves as she was called upon again and again. As the afternoon progressed the girls found their rhythm and played some of the best Hockey they have played all season, with very close, competitive games being played. The girls managed to achieve their first win of the season too, slotting 2 goals past Ramsey Grammar. The girls should be proud of their 4th place finish, they have come a long way during the season and it was great to see them all enjoying playing and working together as a team.

Nandi was awarded SNHS Player of the Tournament for her cool, calm and consistent play in defense - very well deserved! Well done to all the girls involved, it was a brilliant afternoon.
