The Year 10 girls took on KWC in their second netball match of the year. The girls showed great discipline and teamwork, moving the ball calmly and supporting each other throughout the game. Their composure and effort never dropped, even when faced with a challenging score line. At the shooting end, Amelia Griffiths and Katelyn Henrico worked confidently under pressure, showing accuracy and composure to convert opportunities and keep the team in the game. Defensively, Grace Workman and Gemma Quick read the play well and made several key interceptions that applied pressure and slowed KWC’s attacking momentum.
The final score ended 24-12 to KWC with Grace Workman named as player of the match. While the result didn’t go their way, it was a performance full of commitment and learning moments, with many strong individual contributions to build on moving forward.
On the other court the B team delivered a confident and composed performance to claim a 13–7 victory, showing great teamwork and control throughout the match. In the shooting circle, the girls worked extremely well together, building a strong attacking partnerships. Their movement, communication, and accuracy created consistent scoring opportunities and kept pressure on the opposition defence. Through the middle, Nevaeh Dunn was influential at centre, controlling the tempo of the game with calm decision-making, a strong work rate, and smart ball movement to link defence and attack effectively. Across the rest of the court, the girls supported one another well, kept possession with patience, and maintained good structure in both attack and defence. Their composure and teamwork were key in building and protecting the lead. Overall, it was a well-deserved win and a very positive team performance from start to finish.
