The Year 10 Boys' Cricket Team produced an outstanding performance to defeat QEII in a superb final, securing victory with approximately 15 balls remaining.
Having been put into the field first, the boys delivered an excellent bowling and fielding display to restrict QEII to 103 runs. The team worked tirelessly throughout the innings, taking regular wickets and applying pressure in the field to ensure the target remained within reach.
Ryan Boshoff was deservedly named Player of the Match after an exceptional all-round performance. He claimed three crucial wickets to help limit the opposition before leading the run chase with a superb innings of 41 runs. His composure and quality with both bat and ball were instrumental in the team's success.
Chasing 104 for victory, the boys batted confidently and sensibly, reaching their target with around 15 balls to spare. It was a fantastic team effort, with every player contributing to a well-deserved victory. The squad demonstrated excellent teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the match and should be extremely proud of their achievement.
