St. Ninian's Lower School was visited by Geoff Barton, General Secretary of the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) on Tuesday 1st October. Geoff was over on the island with other ASCL representatives to meet with senior secondary school leaders from all over the island with St. Ninian's hosting the meeting.
Geoff was a longstanding member of ASCL Council, former chair of its Pedagogy Committee, is Patron of the English and Media Centre, and a ‘Leading Thinker’ for the National Education Trust. He became General Secretary of ASCL in April 2017. This was his first visit to the island and hopefully he will be looking to visit again soon.
