The Senior Rugby Team left for Manchester on Friday morning for the weekend. During the trip the lads took in a Heineken Cup match that saw Glasgow Warriors beat Sale Sharks 45-7 in an exciting game. They also played local school team Fallibroome Academy, in Macclesfield. In a close first half the lads were 17-12 up at the break with two tries from James Boyd and one from Harry Crompton, Corbin Liebenberg added a conversion too. The second half didn’t start well with Fallibroome going over in the first minute to level the score, but then with a first ever try for Finnian Gelder the Saints took control. Three more tries followed from Connor Craig, Craig Martin and a second on the day for Crompton. Liebenberg also added one conversion to make the final score 39-17. Man of the Match was Tom Coleman with other notable performances from Kristian Parlato, Kyle Martin and Brendan Kelly. The tour was rounded off with a well deserved curry and a catch up with ex-Saints teacher Matt Harvey. Well done to everyone who came and thanks to Mr Hennessy and Mr Clague for giving up their time.
