The Year 7 Applied Learning group are continuing to explore different services within our community with their teacher Mrs Dyson, and today were lucky enough to be visited by Matt Tyrer from the Fire Service. The students were able to find out more about the different roles within the Fire Service, what the job entails and what to expect if they were to consider a career in the Fire Service. Students experienced what it’s like to wear the different protective gear required and saw some of the specialised equipment used.
