St. Ninian’s welcomed back a former colleague, PE teacher Matt Harvey last week, as he brought a rugby team over from his current school, Tytherington, in Manchester. The touring team of Y8s and Y9s played against a St. Ninian’s team on Thursday in a highly competitive and close fought game. Tytherington came out winners 45-35, but the real winner was rugby! Tytherington then went on to play Ramsey Rugby Club under the Friday night lights of the famous Mooragh Park pitch, in which they narrowly lost in another competitive game. After speaking to Matt at the FC Isle of Man game on Saturday night, he said that their IOM tour was a complete success and will hopefully become an annual event!
