On Wednesday, our Year 12 Junior Achievement companies competed in the finals of Company Programme 2022 at the Palace Hotel.

St. Ninian’s were represented by our largest ever number of student companies; with nine groups out of a total of twenty two groups competing to be crowned Student Company of the Year.

There have been many problems faced by the students over the past six months, and all have stepped up to the challenge of launching their new businesses, developing new products and brands. At the competition, the students were be judged in four categories: presentation, an interview, a report and their trade stand.

Our students’ ideas were incredibly varied and included: handmade tote bags made from recycled/reused denim, a student app designed from scratch to make students’ day-to-day life easier and a handy tool designed to squeeze every last bit of your toothpaste out.

Four of our students also made the final shortlists for the individual awards, with Ntshila L, Ethan S and Jerry Y all interviewed for being an ‘Outstanding Team Member’, and Dominic H being interviewed in the ‘Outstanding Team Leader’ category. There were also several other SNHS students also nominated for awards.

We look forward to the Awards Dinner at the Villa Marina next Wednesday evening to find out the results of the judging panel.

Congratulations to all of our teams. You have done yourselves and St. Ninian’s proud.
