Last week our school Charity Challenge team, representing Advantage Africa, were delighted to take part in the One World Charity Challenge Final. The team worked hard to produce an engaging presentation which featured the work of the charity, how the charity is supporting the Sustainable Development Goals and a case study. Throughout the challenge, the students acted as advocates for the charity and raised funds through selling sweet bags at school. They also visited Onchan Rainbows and Douglas 7th Brownies to tell them about the work of the charity and raise awareness. The students were delighted to be awarded £500 for Advantage Africa, who support people affected by poverty, disability, albinism and HIV to improve their education, health and incomes. They help East Africa’s most vulnerable people to overcome prejudice, help themselves and build a better future for their families and communities.

Thank you to AFD Software for their sponsorship and to Mrs Donaldson who has supported all SNHS Charity Challenge groups over the last year.
