The Intermediate Basketball team put in another impressive performance as they defeated KWC 35–17, showcasing sharp attacking play and strong team cohesion. A lightning opening quarter set the tone for the match, with Saints racing into a commanding early lead that KWC were never able to challenge.
The scoring opened through Ade, who powered inside for the first basket of the game. Momentum quickly built as Rhys followed up with back-to-back baskets before being substituted due to an injury sustained on court. His early contribution helped establish the confident start that Saints needed. In the second quarter, Illiam stepped up brilliantly, producing a flurry of baskets that demonstrated his quality and kept Saints firmly in control. Dan added to the tally with his trademark jump shot in and around the key—an effort that lifted the team and delighted the fans. As the game neared its conclusion and tiredness began to show, Saints remained composed. Sam wrapped up the win with two excellent lay-ups, finishing fast breaks with precision and ensuring the scoreline reflected the team’s hard work. Defensively, Charlie was relentless, applying pressure throughout and forcing KWC into difficult positions. Across all four quarters, Sai was instrumental in dictating the game, controlling possession, setting the tempo, and guiding the team forward.
A strong performance in the first quarter by the team - the boys are working hard to sustain this throughout matches at training!
