The English Department/school are very excited to be welcoming two visiting authors this year as part of Manx Litfest.
On Monday 23rd September, Year 10 will be working with Mark Grist, a dynamic perfomance poet who has visited the school before, and we are keen to have him back to introduce more students to how much fun poetry can be!
Year 9 will be the lucky year group to meet Juno Dawson, an author of several novels and works of non-fiction for both young adults as well as adults, which tackle challenging issues such as mental health and gender.
We hope the students really enjoy the opportunity to listen to, and work with, these dynamic writers and there is plenty of information about them on the Manx Litfest website if you are interested in reading about them.
