Year 12 Politics students visited the Manx parliament for a tour of the legislative chambers today, before taking a seat in the public gallery for a Tynwald court sitting. The students had a very informative talk from ex SNHS head student, Peter Smith, who gave a detailed insight into the island's political history and the roles and functions of the House of Keys, Legislative Council and Tynwald Court.

The students were then able to see democracy in action and watch members ask and answer questions on a variety of topics from domestic violence to Peel marina!
