Our Sixth Form Wellbeing Committee were presented with certificates today, to recognise the completion of their course on the ‘Introduction to listening skills and safeguarding’ delivered by Grainne Burns (Child Protection & Safeguarding Officer). The course was delivered over three, ninety minute sessions looking at ‘Safer Working Practices with Young People’, 'Engaging with Young People’ and 'Listening Skills’. Students gained key skills and built their confidence in dealing with fellow students who utilise their support service. Many thanks to Miss Sharpe for arranging this training and for her commitment to developing the work of this worthwhile committee.
