PROGRAMME OF STUDY ASSESSMENT TASKS
AUTUMN

In PE, students will develop their knowledge, understanding and skills in Health Related Fitness/Dance Aerobics, Basketball, Handball and Hockey.


In Games, students will learn about the principles of team play. The boys will cover Rugby and the girls will cover Hockey and Football. All students will have the opportunity to complete the Cross-country unit of work.

SPRING

In PE, students will develop their knowledge, understanding and skills in a range of team and individual activities, such as: Gaelic Football, Handball, Badminton, Fitness and Basketball.


In Games, students will learn about the principles of team play. The boys will cover Football and the girls will cover Netball.

SUMMER

In PE, students will develop their knowledge, understanding and skills in a range of team and individual activities, such as: Rounders, Cricket, Tennis and Softball.


In Games, students will learn about the principles of athletic movement and will be assessed in Athletics.



Any students who have opted for GCSE PE will complete an induction module preparing them for the GCSE course.
