• PSHE stands for personal, social and health education, which are the broad areas this important subject covers. This subject is taught throughout all key stages on the island developing the whole child and equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to look after their well-being, make informed decisions and enjoy positive relationships.

PSHE lessons cover a range of topics divided into three integral core themes:

  • HEALTH AND WELLBEING (HW)
  • RELATIONSHIPS AND SEX EDUCATION (RSE)
  • LIVING IN THE WIDER WORLD (LWW)

The Relationship and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum content has been reviewed by PSHE leaders along with the Department of Education, Sport ad Culture (DESC) and will be delivered in an age-appropriate manner. Some of the RSE content may be delivered by external professionals in ‘drop down days’ or assemblies as well as within curriculum lessons.
